Ep – 74 – Dharmaraj Yudishthir – Dr Gauri Moghe – Mahabharat
Yudhishthir, the eldest Pandava, ruled Hastinapur after the Kurukshetra war for many years. Known as Dharmaraja, he governed with fairness, truth, and compassion, embodying the principles of rajdharma taught by Bhishma. His reign brought stability after immense destruction, marked by justice, reforms, and prosperity. Though initially reluctant to rule due to grief, he accepted the throne with Krishna’s guidance. Yudhishthir delegated responsibilities to his brothers, ensuring balanced administration. His moral integrity was his greatest strength and his strict adherence to dharma . Ultimately, he renounced worldly life, embarking on the Mahaprasthanika journey to the Himalayas, leaving his grandson Parikshit as successor. His legacy endures as a symbol of righteous leadership.
