Day 1

Date : 09/28/2024

Arrival in Dharamshala - Explore Monasteries & Art Museum

Arrive in Dharamshala (by road or flight to Gaggal Airport).
Check-in at your hotel.
Visit the Dalai Lama Temple Complex and the Namgyal Monastery, the spiritual center for Tibetan Buddhism in Dharamshala.
Head to Norbulingka Institute, a cultural center preserving Tibetan art and crafts.
Explore Tibet Museum to learn about Tibetan history and culture.

Day 2

Date : 09/29/2024

Excursion to Masrur Rock Cut Temples & Kangra Fort

After breakfast, take a drive to Masrur Rock Cut Temples (about 45 km from Dharamshala).
Explore the ancient temples, which date back to the 8th century, and admire their intricate carvings and architectural significance.
Drive to Kangra Fort, the largest and one of the oldest forts in India, located 30 km from Masrur.
Explore the fort, which offers a stunning view of the surrounding valley and the Banganga River.
Visit the Bajreshwari Devi Temple or Chamunda Devi Temple, both important religious sites in Kangra.
Return to Dharamshala for an overnight stay.

Day 3

Dharamshala to Barot Valley (90 km, 3-4 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Parashar Lake, a beautiful, high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Explore the lake and visit the Parashar Rishi Temple, a 13th-century temple dedicated to the sage Parashar.
Have a picnic by the lake, soaking in the tranquility and the panoramic views.
You can also take a short hike around the lake for different viewpoints.
Return to your base camp or nearby accommodation near the lake for an overnight stay under the stars.

Day 4

Date : 10/02/2024

Barot Valley to Parashar Lake (75 km, 3 hours)

After breakfast, drive to Parashar Lake, a beautiful, high-altitude lake surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Explore the lake and visit the Parashar Rishi Temple, a 13th-century temple dedicated to the sage Parashar.
Have a picnic by the lake, soaking in the tranquility and the panoramic views.
You can also take a short hike around the lake for different viewpoints.
Return to your base camp or nearby accommodation near the lake for an overnight stay under the stars.

Day 5

Parashar Lake to Bir (70 km, 2-3 hours) - Explore Bir Monastery

After an early breakfast, drive to Bir. Bir is renowned for its Tibetan monasteries and as a global paragliding destination.
Check into a guesthouse or homestay in Bir.
Visit the Chokling Monastery, Palpung Sherabling Monastery, and Dzongsar Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö Institute, which are important centers for Buddhist learning.
Enjoy a peaceful afternoon in the monastery gardens.

Day 6

Bir to Mandi (80 km, 2 hours) - Panchvaktra Shiva Temple & More

After breakfast, drive to Mandi, a town known for its ancient temples and religious significance.
Visit the famous Panchvaktra Shiva Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva with five faces, located at the confluence of the Beas and Suketi rivers.
Explore other historic temples in Mandi, like Bhima Kali Temple and Tarna Devi Temple.
Take a walk through the old streets of Mandi, known for their architecture.

Day 7

Date : 10/04/2024

Departure from Mandi

Depending on your travel arrangements, you can explore more of Mandi or depart for your onward journey to your home city (via road or nearby airport/railway station).
